Clumber Consultancy discusses the impact of Covid-19

Clumber Consultancy’s Managing Director Darren Toms joined a host of local Nottinghamshire businesses last week as part of a wide ranging discussion on the impact of Covid-19.
Darren was invited to speak at the Newark and Sherwood District Council Business Community Event held at the Everyday Champions Centre in Newark.
He joined speakers that included Rt. Hon Mark Spencer, Member of Parliament for Sherwood and NSDC, Councillor David Lloyd, Leader of the Council along with Chris Hobson, Director of Policy and External Affairs, East Midlands Chamber, who discussed the Quarterly Economic Survey.
With the economy front of mind, Darren shared with the audience how Clumber had navigated the challenges of the last 6 months during the Covid-19 pandemic.
With a wide range of speakers, the conversations and topics ranged from Clumber Consultancy’s professional services support to an unusually quiet insolvency market, and our ERA services within the wider SME market, to the impact on UK construction and even the impact on the local wine market.
Darren comments;
"It is always flattering to be asked to speak at a business event but if we can share some examples of how we’ve come through the crisis and other businesses can benefit from that, then I am happy to play my part.
"It was interesting to present to a live audience in the room, combined with a watching audience online, which was a first for me. However, if there is one thing we have all learned through this crisis it is how we can all leverage new ways of working by embracing technology to help us to communicate our skills, needs and challenges.
"I hope my examples of how Clumber Consultancy has navigated the last 6 months prove useful to the delegates and wish them all well for the future."
