Charity Golf Day raises over £3600!
by Suzanne Lewthwaite | May 27, 2019

Clumber Consultancy is delighted to have completed another amazing charity golf day, which was blessed with terrific weather and fantastic competitors. The day raised a staggering £3600 for Children's Links, a local charity which helps under privileged children and their families.
Eleven teams took part with competitors coming from a range of organisations across the pensions, accountancy, law and other financial sectors. After enjoying the glorious sunshine which accompanied the teams around Rufford Park golf club, the eventual winners were the last team to tee-off, who took the coveted trophy from last year's winners, Smith Cooper.
The final order was; in first place Team Colligant, second place Team CFS Restructuring with third place going to Smith Cooper. Well done to all the teams that took part.
Clumber's MD, Darren Toms, commented; "This is the third golf day we've organised and it continues to go from strength to strength with more teams taking part and more money being raised each year. We've had some fantastic raffle prizes donated as well as some generous sponsorship for holes around the course and, of course, everyone has had a fantastic day of golf."
Darren was joined in his comments by Karen Parsons, CEO of Children's Links;
"We are delighted to be the recipient of the proceeds from today’s golf. We transform the lives of thousands of families in the UK; creating opportunities and tackling poverty, isolation, discrimination and inequalities. The important work we do with vulnerable children and their families couldn’t continue if we didn’t receive these types of donations. We are extremely grateful to Clumber Consultancy for choosing us as their charity for this year and helping us to make a positive difference to children , young people and communities
Thanks must go to the day's sponsors including Woodhead Construction, Colligant, Hair by Fay, Stuart J Green Digital Engineering, Maun Funding and Luxe Beauty who sponsored holes and donated raffle prizes.
Other winners on the day included; 'Nearest the pin' at hole 15 which was won by Mark Hemmings from Team CFS who walked away with an electric powered golf trolley, whilst Andrew Cordon also from Team CFS enjoyed a bottle of champagne courtesy of John Miles at Colligant for getting nearest the pin at hole 18.
