Darren started his career in pensions in 1996 and has been helping UK Insolvency Practitioners and businesses with complex pension and insurance related matters ever since. He is passionate, empathetic and positive about his work, particularly when creating cost effective compliant solutions that can offer minimal involvement and risk exposure for his clients.
Darren is the longest serving pension professional working exclusively in the pensions and insolvency market and also a proud member of the R3 Pensions Working Group that tackles any pension related matters that affect UK insolvency law.
Having permanently lived within close proximity of Clumber Park in the heart of Sherwood Forest, Darren is excited about building a business that can create local job opportunities and investment for the local environment.
In his spare time, Darren is an avid football fan and enjoys playing golf and regularly turning out at his local gym. Darren also enjoys spending time with his young family either at home, on holiday or exploring the local countryside.
Paul joined Clumber as a director of the ERA business in July 2019 after 32 years’ experience in the insolvency industry. He is highly experienced in dealing with complex onsite situations assisting employers and employees and understands the many challenges our clients face. During what is undoubtedly one of the most difficult times an employee will face, he is determined to ensure that our ERA team provides empathetic support and assistance to employees.
His day-to-day focus is the delivery of an all-inclusive suite of ERA solutions to Insolvency Practitioners looking for efficiency and cost effectiveness, without compromising on quality.
Paul has known Darren for twenty years and is very excited to be able to grow the already excellent reputation of the Clumber brand. He really enjoys focussing on both the personal relationships and the financial detail required to be the most effective and engaged provider of ERA services.
He is married with three children and has been a season ticket holder with Leicester City for thirty years. When time permits, and there is no fixture in the diary, he loves spending it with family on the East Coast.
FPMI Service Delivery Director
Louise joined Clumber Consultancy in March 2020, bringing with her over 30 years of pensions experience, having worked her way up from pension administrator for AVIVA, to Client Director at Legal & General. Her experience spans live, paid-up Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pensions, winding up pension schemes, working on the in-house scheme for Andersen Consulting including outsourcing agreements and employee communications, as well as training both Trustees and staff and acting as an Independent Trustee for Alexander Forbes Trustee Services.
With strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge, she is the director overseeing all business operations, service delivery and engaging and empowering staff to take ownership of their work.
Chief Information Security Officer
Jo joined Clumber Consultancy in September 2019 after developing a close relationship with the company as a Cyber Security Consultant in the previous three years, helping the company to develop stringent data security and protection practices. Jo has over 20 years of experience in communication network security, administration and delivering information securely, starting with a career in the Royal Air Force spanning 12 years. This background led to her becoming a consultant for public and private sector IT standards which provided an ideal match for us due to the amount of confidential data we process.
Jo enjoys the cutting-edge nature of her work in a sector that is constantly evolving, and gets great satisfaction knowing that this can be used to strengthen not only Clumber, but also the companies for whom we work.
She is responsible for all areas of security and risk and offers advice and accreditation to any companies that wants to reduce risk to their business and comply with data and electronic laws. Jo recognises that every business needs bespoke solutions to remain efficient and secure, and that both requirements are possible while reducing complexity and streamlining processes.
Having been very work-focussed, she is enjoying the challenge of creating a healthier work-life balance and this will be a work in progress in the coming months.
Louisa, based in London, joined Clumber Consultancy in March 2020, initially as a consultant, before joining the company as an employee on 1 July 2020. She is highly experienced in liaising with Company Directors and Office Holders to discuss employee consultation requirements prior to the commencement of an insolvency appointment.
Louisa is highly experienced in a niche area of employment law which enhances our ERA service offering to Insolvency Practitioners. She strives to resolve employment consultation requirements to the benefit of all stakeholders and mitigate Employment Tribunal cases for Office Holders.
Senior Pension Administrator
Emma joined Clumber Consultancy in February 2017 as Senior Pensions Administrator from a large pension administration provider in Sheffield where she most recently worked on Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit and CARE arrangements. Prior to this Emma gained in-depth experience of SSAS schemes at Talbot & Muir.
The prospect of gaining more experience of pensions in insolvency attracted Emma to the role at the company and coupled with the team ethos and spirit, she is thoroughly enjoying being part of the Clumber Consultancy team.
Away from work, Emma is a new mummy to baby Isla, the apple of her eye. She loves holidaying in faraway places, spending time with her partner and socialising with friends.
Trainee Pension Administrator
Emma joined Clumber in June 2019 after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Business Studies with Information Technology.
The inclusive and supportive culture at Clumber provides an excellent launch pad for a career in the pensions and insolvency market in which Emma is looking forward to gaining knowledge and experience.
Outside of work, Emma keeps active by attending her local gym, socialising with friends and going shopping at weekends.
Senior ERA Administrator
Michelle finished University in Summer 2010 and shortly afterwards started her first permanent role in the insolvency department of an accountancy firm, mainly dealing with corporate insolvency. She joined Clumber in September 2020, excited by the opportunities available and appreciating the values of honesty and empathy that Clumber focuses on, considering them to be very important to the Insolvency industry.
Outside work, she loves nothing more than socialising with her family and friends and travelling around the world. Her aim is to visit as many different countries as she can, as she enjoys experiencing the different cultures and learning about the history.
Senior ERA Administrator
Kate joined Clumber Consultancy in June 2020 and has over 32 years Insolvency experience. She has specialised in ERA work for the last ten years working for a top National Accountancy firm with particular interest and expertise in agreeing the employee and Redundancy Payments Service residual preferential and unsecured claims for the purposes of distributions of funds. Kate previously had experience of using the services of Darren and the Clumber Pensions team so when she was offered the opportunity to join us and develop the ERA service side of the firm, she did not hesitate. Interestingly, Kate started her insolvency career in 1988 at Pannell Kerr Forster in Leicester working alongside our Director Paul Milton so after all these years, the old team is back together!
Kate has joined us on a part time basis and when she is not working, she is active in supporting the fund raising efforts of a number of charities both locally and nationally with notable successes in organising events such as a candle-lit balloon debate at Leicester Cathedral and a full “It’s a Knockout” corporate tournament on the Leicester Tigers Welford Road pitch using the original costumes and props from the 1970’s TV series.
Senior ERA Administrator
Rachel recently joined Clumber with a background in accountancy and 9 years in insolvency, the latter gained at well-known firms. She had experience of working with Clumber in previous roles where she had enlisted the pension services on several occasions and was very impressed with the helpfulness and professionalism of the team.
She was excited by the prospect of joining Clumber, and with a very young child, has appreciated the family-first approach.
Outside work, Rachel has recently qualified to be a dance fit instructor, continuing a hobby which she has enjoyed from a young age.
Kathryn joined Clumber in September 2020 with nearly 4 years insolvency experience coming from a well known insolvency practice in West Yorkshire. Prior to this Kathryn worked in the banking industry for 12 years and dealt with many aspects within her role, including Personal banking, Business banking and Probate.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys spending quality time with her partner and her two beautiful girls. She loves family breaks in the UK and abroad and socialising with her friends.
